Escrow Policy

Applies to:
All Services and Jobs paid through JobbersGigs escrow checkout (“Escrow”).

This Escrow Policy explains how funds are collected, held, released, refunded, and disputed for transactions on JobbersGigs.com. It forms part of our Terms of Service and should be read together with our Terms, Privacy Policy, and Trust & Safety Guidelines. By using Escrow, you agree to this policy.
1) What “Escrow” Means on JobbersGigs
  • The Buyer pays the full order amount at checkout.
  • Funds are held in escrow until one of the outcomes below occurs: release, refund, or dispute resolution.
  • JobbersGigs is not a bank. Custody and payouts may be handled by payment processors.
2) How Escrow Works (Lifecycle)
Order & Funding
  • The Buyer pays the total (service price plus any applicable taxes/fees).
  • Once payment is confirmed, the order status becomes Funded.
Work in Progress
  • The Seller delivers by the agreed date. All communication must remain on JobbersGigs chat.
Delivery & Review
  • The Seller submits a Delivery with required proof/evidence (e.g., files, links, screenshots).
  • The Buyer has a 72-hour Approval Window to accept or request revisions.
Release or Revision
  • If the Buyer approves, escrow is released to the Seller (minus fees).
  • If the Buyer requests revisions, the 72-hour window resets.
Auto-Release
  • If no action is taken within 72 hours, escrow auto-releases to the Seller.
Dispute
  • If the parties cannot agree, either may open a Dispute (see §7).
3) Eligibility & Requirements
  • Both parties must have valid accounts and complete any KYC/AML checks requested.
  • Some categories or countries may be restricted by payment partners.
  • We may decline, hold, or reverse transactions to comply with law or risk controls.
4) Fees, Taxes & Currencies
  • Platform and processing fees are shown at checkout.
  • Currency conversions use rates from payment partners.
  • Buyers are responsible for taxes unless we are legally required to collect them.
5) Delivery Evidence (Minimums)
To be eligible for release, Sellers must provide:
  • The deliverable itself (files/links/results).
  • Proof that it meets the scope (e.g., screenshots, logs, reports).
  • Any credentials or access agreed upon.
Incomplete or placeholder submissions may be declined.
6) Refunds & Cancellations
  • Mutual Cancellation: Both parties agree, refund to Buyer.
  • Non-Delivery: If Seller fails to deliver, Buyer may cancel and refund.
  • Out-of-Scope: If delivery doesn’t match scope, Buyer may dispute.
  • Refunds return to original method or Buyer’s JobbersGigs wallet.
7) Disputes (When You Can Escalate)
You may dispute within 5 days of delivery if:
  • There is non-delivery,
  • Work fails to match scope, or
  • There is a quality breach.
Process:
  1. Try resolving in chat first.
  2. Open a Dispute with clear evidence.
  3. Our team reviews and may request more info.
  4. We decide on release, partial release, or refund.
Evidence Tips:
  • Keep all communication/files on JobbersGigs.
  • Provide screenshots, logs, links, or order acceptance criteria.
8) Chargebacks & Reversals
  • If a chargeback is issued, we follow card-network rules.
  • We may hold funds, reverse payouts, or request documents.
  • Repeated issues may lead to account closure.
9) Holds & Compliance
We may hold funds to manage risk, comply with law, or verify:
  • Suspicious activity, mismatched identity, sanctions, or unusual patterns.
  • Legal requests or law-enforcement inquiries.
10) Prohibited Transactions
Escrow may not be used for illegal, adult, weapons, drugs, hacking, fake reviews, academic cheating, MLM schemes, or doxxing. We may cancel/refund and disable accounts for violations.
11) Payouts to Sellers
  • After release, payouts are sent to Seller’s withdrawal method (subject to schedules and compliance).
  • Timeline estimates shown in dashboard are not guarantees.
12) Data & Privacy
We share only what is necessary with payment partners to process transactions and comply with law. See our Privacy Policy for details.
13) Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted with a new effective date. Continued use of Escrow means you accept the updated policy.

15) Governing Law & Venue
This policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer-protection laws apply in your country.
